Information

The summer academic session classes are small (generally 6-10 students), and individual participation is required. Subjects offered include math, English, science, oceanography, creative writing, computers, history, Spanish, English as a second language, and various electives. Designated courses may be taken for a semester of high school credit. Afternoon activities, special events, and weekend excursions allow each student the opportunity to take a break from scholastic responsibilities and experience lasting friendships and fun.

At Camp Pacific, campers learn new skills, gain self-confidence, and are encouraged to work with their peers. In the morning, campers are divided into weekly interest groups and are led by a counselor through an activity. In the afternoon, campers participate in daily free-choice recreational activities or sports. Trips to area attractions are offered on a weekly basis. Typical activities include arts and crafts, baseball, basketball, bodyboarding, camp radio broadcasting, capture the flag, clay sculpting, cricket, drama, flag football, Frisbee golf, jewelry making, mask making, painting, riflery, rugby, sand castle contests, scavenger hunts, snorkeling, soccer, surfing, swimming, tennis, tie-dye, Ultimate Frisbee, water polo, and much more
