The summer camp program allows children and youth to develop a sense of responsibility and self-worth in a Christian community. The enthusiastic, gifted, and multicultural staff are carefully selected and thoroughly trained. The camp director is year-round staff at the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Detroit. Camp Westminster is accredited by the American Camp Association and licensed by the State of Michigan.

Camp Westminster is located in northern Michigan on beautiful Higgins Lake , known for its crystal clear spring-fed water and soft sandy bottom. The camp's forty-plus buildings, recreational facilities, and outdoor chapel occupy forty wooded acres of land on the shore of Higgins Lake, which is about 200 miles north of Detroit . The camp also owns an outpost site on the Au Sable River. The camp is surrounded by hundreds of acres of state forest.
