Exhibits

Major Exhibits
The Kellogg House, built in 1898, is our signature exhibit. Our most popular programs are hands-on tours of this restored Victorian house. We also have a nature center that includes two small wetland areas, a working blacksmith shop, and a citrus grove.

2006 Exhibits
Our newest exhibit is a kid-pulled model of a covered wagon. It is being incorporated into our Gold Rush program, where students push and pull it along a dirt trail in a simulated journey from Independence, Missouri to the base of the Sierra Nevadas. At this point they leave the wagon behind and traverse the mountains on foot to arrive at the gold fields around Sutter's Fort in California.
