This mission is accomplished by working collaboratively with numerous community groups to build assets through a variety of youth and family programs for students who may be at risk of academic failure or delinquent behavior

Our after school programs began in 1996 at West Middle School . We have expanded programs to include North and South Middle Schools ; Fletcher, Sable and Vaughn Elementary Schools and Aurora Central H.S.
Program Highlights: COMPASS after School programs provide:
- A safe place to develop positive peer and adult relationships.
- An opportunity to succeed academically with focused instruction by licensed teachers.
- A wide array of enrichment activities that broaden horizons and encourage creative interests.
- An opportunity for parents to participate in their child's after school experience during Family Night events and Parent and Child Together Time (PACT) activities.

Students enrolled in COMPASS receive 45 minutes of customized reading and 45 minutes of enrichment activities, visits from the folks at the Butterfly Pavilion, soccer, dance instruction, music appreciation and more. Middle and High School students take unique academic classes- like "Cooking with Math" and enrichment activities of their choosing like skateboarding or Hip Hop dance.
