Curriculum

CCS offers Biblical integration in all subjects, and our full curriculum focuses on the basics of reading, language arts, and math, using ACSI, A-Beka, & Bob Jones curriculums. We use a phonics-based reading and language arts program that is published by Riggs Institute in Beaverton and employs the Spalding method. The Riggs program helps children learn language in such a way that many are reading by December of their kindergarten year, and have developed not just reading skill, but a love of reading. The phonics method also helps them with reading comprehension and becoming good spellers.

Philosophy/Belief Statement

Cornerstone Christian School assists families in the Christian training of their children by directing each student toward spiritual and academic excellence. We strive to provide an environment that honors God, respects others, and is conducive to learning. Our purpose is to enable our students to "grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man," (Luke 2:52) and to become godly adults, capable of expressing their faith in Jesus Christ.

School History

CCS was founded in 1998 by a group of Christian parents who wanted a Christian education option for their children. They wanted to create a school which set high academic standards, and offered small class sizes, caring staff, and a safe, family-oriented educational environment combined with Christian values.
