Eights System: The name refers to the fact that three of the four highest letter grades have a range of eight points, while the remaining one spans seven points.

Standards-based Assessment: Based on the outcome-based education or performance-based education philosophy

Tens System: The system owes its name to the fact that each passing grade spans ten points, except for the "A" grade
