Use engineering principles to develop useful toys for disabled children. Develop robotic techniques for communication. Develop technical writing and presentation skills. Meet practicing women engineers. Tour local engineering facilities. College admissions presentation. Various recreational field trips and activiites.

EDGE offers high-school girls a unique opportunity to explore engineering in a way beyond basic math and science. Participants use engineering design and problem-solving skills to develop toys and communication tools for real-life disabled children at a local rehabilitation center. Participants also work with Union College's Theater Department to practice and develop presentation skills, and work on writing techniques that re essential in the fields of engineering and science.
