Major Exhibits
When entering into The Henry Ford Museum you can't miss our newest exhibit, With Liberty and Justice for All. Opening in January, 2006, it is quickly becoming one of our most popular field trip visits. Thousands of classrooms have come to witness first hand the struggle and fight for freedom and the spirit and courage needed to maintain it. Taking center stage are the ordinary Americans that impacted change - from George Washington to Rosa Parks - along with the iconic artifacts that represent the movements these individuals sparked.
Visit our newest atttraction - Ford Rouge Factory Tour - which The Chicago Tribune calls 'a real thrill ride.' Henry Ford's dream of the Rouge Plant was all-encompassing. Four generations later the Rouge Heritage Project has revitalized the Rouge Complex and the new Dearborn Truck Plant. This is the heart of the Ford Rouge Factory Tour and the heart of our Michigan History.
Greenfield Village reborn and revitalized. With over 90 acres in area, Greenfield Village invites your students to immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of America long ago. New this year, your students can bcome History Hunters. Discover 300 years of American history in a whole new way. Michigan's largest IMAX screen brings the classroom closer to the world. MacGillivray Freeman Films has documented tragedy before in the breakthrough film Everest. In Hurricane on the Bayou, they bring the same sensitive and emotional depiction of Hurricane Katrina's devastation as told through the stories of some of Louisiana's most beloved musicians whose lives were dramatically affected by the storm. The resulting images are among some of the most powerful ever to be seen on the IMAX theatre screen.
