Wilderness courses are held in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Each of our 6-day, 9-Day and 12-Day Courses may include a combination of the following activities: backpacking, Mtn biking, rock climbing, river rafting, 14,000ft peak ascents.

All course equipment is provided by Horizon Adventures. Participants bring only their boots and clothes.

Each course stresses Backcountry safety, wilderness education, environmental awareness and most of all, FUN.

Participant/Instructor ratio is 3:1 during the technical sections of each course and 5:1 during the backpacking portion of each course.
