KYDs Inc. was founded in 1989 by a strong community leader named   Sandy Kievman . She established the program in Lanark Park when she realized that teens in the community needed a safe place to meet where they can escape from gang activity and negative influences and enjoy fun, healthy activities, sports, and entertainment. Since its inception, KYDS Inc. has grown into a well established non- profit, children's after school program serving over 3,000 children and their families everyday

At KYDS , we believe that how we take care of children and prepare them for the future are the most important issues we face in our lifetime. KYDS ' non-profit organization provides FREE educational, sports and enrichment programs to low-income, at-risk children. Our programs provide a safe, fun learning environment where kids can participate in different educational activities. We currently serve over 3,000 kids at 17 schools throughout the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles
