McCallie has several nationally recognized athletic teams. Our program has produced state champions in cross country, football, climbing, wrestling, swimming, tennis, and lacrosse. We have also claimed regional and divisional championships in crew, soccer, basketball and baseball.

McCallie offers a variety of clubs and student organizations. Amnesty International, Campaigners, Campus Entertainment Committee, Cum Laude, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, International Club, Junior State of America, Key Club, Big Brothers, Missionary Committee, National Honor Society, Student Council, Student Senate, Student Vestry, WBTR (McCallie internet radio), and Young life are among the many choices.

The McCallie School's mission is to prepare students for college and for life. The school is dedicated to the academic, physical, spiritual, and emotional growth of boys. McCallie was founded in 1905 by brothers Spencer and Park McCallie. Spencer told the newspaper: "We do not intend, however, to emphasize preparation for college to the exclusion of other things. Preparation for business life will be held equally prominent. Along with the intellectual training, careful attention will be paid to the physical and moral nature of the student." We have continued to honor our founders commitment to excellence for over 100 years.
