School History:

Since it's founding in 1990 Pro-Vision has offered over 4,000 young men from Houston's most underserved neighborhoods the guidance and tools they need to realize their full academic, civic, and moral potential. The young men who enrolled in Pro-Vision's programs are those who are the most vulnerable to the negative forces that continue to undermine entire communities. The majority live at or below the poverty level and 88% receive free or reduced lunches. Over 90% of Pro-Vision's young men have demonstrated unsuccessful performance in previous schools, and most enter Pro-Vision 2-3 grades behind their peers in Math and Reading. Despite this background, 90% of Pro-Vision students go on to graduate from high school, and after graduation 97% go on to 2 or 4 year college, trade school, or the military.

Program and Services:

1. The Manhood Development Academy is a mentoring program that develops thoughtful, hard working, and respectful youth who take responsibility for their own lives.
