School Information:

"The Summer Teaching Program in China" is an approved project of the Guangdong Educational Bureau. International Partnerships in Education, LLC (Pennsylvania, USA) and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (Guangzhou, China) are the respective facilitating organizations for this program.

The program offers US and Canadian educators, and student education majors, the unique opportunity to experience China as few foreigners have ever experienced. You will have the opportunity to teach your own Chinese students, meet local educators, and build friendships that will last a lifetime.

School Setting:

The summer camp program will be held on the North and South campus of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in Guangzhou, China.

Program Information: The teaching program in Guangzhou, China is a two session program. Every teaching day will consist of five class periods, 45 minutes each, of instruction and activities. The three morning classes are designed to be instructional based while the two afternoon classes are designed to be activity based. Each delegate will also be responsible for participation in one or two evening activities. Evening activities are casual. Evening activities will provide the opportunity to socialize with the Chinese teachers and administrators on campus and to serve as judges for student competitions. Separating the two teaching sessions of the program, is a private tour of Beijing. Tour sites include the Forbidden City, Great Wall, Temple of Heaven and much more.

IPIE.US TEACH/TOUR CHINA Summer 2014 Dates: 7/10/14 - 8/11/14 (Tentative: Dates subject to change) For Immediate Release: Please Post International Partnerships in Education (IPIE.US) is pleased to announce its newly restructured 2014 Summer Teaching Program in China. The program offers educators, and student education majors, the opportunity to spend the summer in China enhancing the conversational English skills of Chinese elementary, middle, and high school students. This unique escorted experience, in collaboration with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, consists of two teaching program sessions in Guangzhou, China with private cultural tours of Guangzhou and Beijing, China. Participants will receive: • Escorted program • Round-trip international air transportation USA - China (Los Angeles gateway) • All program air and tour transportation within China • Program orientation • All program lodging, 3-star hotel or better, in China (double occupancy) • All meals (except on-your-own days) • Cultural tour of Guangzhou, China (1-day) • Cultural tour of Beijing, China (3-days) • Optional touring with students (free of charge) • On-campus support • English speaking tour guides • Stipend (reimbursement of actual economy international air-fare up to $1,500 at group rate) Participants will utilize their teaching expertise and experience to: • Enhance the conversational English skills of Chinese students Program Cost: $2,000.00 (Delegate seats filled as qualified applications are received) Additional information is available on the IPIE.US website at http://www.ipie.us _________________________________________________________________________________________
