Mission Statement:
The mission of the PCOS Foundation is to spread knowledge and understanding of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). The PCOS Foundation’s programs are created concerning three key concepts: awareness, education and outreach.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
The PCOS Foundation believes that awareness and education about PCOS are key to preventing the onset of health risks associated with PCOS and to helping improve current symptoms. The PCOS Foundation also believes in empowering females to grow their confidence, take control of their health and help others to do the same.
Program History:
The PCOS Foundation was founded in April 2010. The 2010 PCOS Awareness 5K was a success with over 400 attendees and over $43,000 raised.

September 25, 2011- PCOS Awareness 5K Houston
TBD (September) - PCOS Awareness 5K Sacramento
Additional Information:
The PCOS Foundation needs volunteers for its many events each September and for its Symposium in June. Volunteers to attend events are needed in both the Sacramento and Houston areas, but phone and email help is also needed and can be done from anywhere.
