Mission Statement:
Dedicated to the independence of older adults
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
Youth and older citizens are mutually helpful to one another. Each benefits when they come together socially or for service.
Program History:
Home chore volunteer program was developed in 1986 to assist frail, limited income older adults to help them remain independent and in their own homes. Youth also volunteer as groups by special arrangement.
Events:
Students in the community day--special projects are planned with youth. This year the students interviewed older adults and helped to prepare a bulletin board featuring their interviewee.
