Mission Statement:
To grow organic vegetables and herb for a shelter in Hartford and the senoir center in West Hartford. Helping the comminity and working with fellow gardeners to share the joy of giving.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
Westmoor Park is an envirnmental, agricultural and horticultural educational center dedicated to generating awareness and appreciation for the natural world.
Program History:
We ahve been involved with Plant a Row fro the Hungry for 12 years and we provide organically grown vegetables and herbs for a shelter in Hartfrod and Senoir center in West Hartford. We grow 35 different varieties of crops to donate each week.
Events:
We will start our program in May and it will run until October. We work in the garden on Mondays and Wednesdays 9-noon. Please go to the web site to fill out a volunteer form and include your email address.
