Now in its ninth season, NEYT operates year round, producing eight to ten plays and/or musicals per season.

Program Highlights

The New England Youth Theatre offers a conservatory-style acting training program for young people, with a combination of classroom and performance work for beginning and advanced students. Classes are small in size and taught by a professional faculty.

Activities

Theatre classes offered at NEYT include Shakespeare, acting, clowning, comedy, improvisation, scene work and character development.

NEYT also has a highly respected Technical Theater program, teaching and mentoring students in all aspects of performing arts design and production, including scenic, costume and lighting design.

NEYT's Theatre Adventure Program (TAP)is a theatre arts class for children, youth, and adults with disabilities and welcomes a smaller number of their typically developing peers.
