( Site Updates from 09/03-09/09/07)
Notes from the Editor:

New National School Directory!
The National Episcopal School Directory has gone live on the website as of 09/03/07. The Jewish School Directory will be going live 09/17/07.

I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer. This summer has been especially busy for the website. You can expect a lot of great changes in the coming year. I hope to have a more professional design in 2008 complete with search engine capabilities and .ASP servers which educators can post information and lesson plans.

New Articles: The summer months are the slowest for this site, as most educators are off for the summer and enjoying their time off. I did not feel it necessary to keep the articles page updated. We currently have 30-40 articles on hold for next month. Starting September you can expect a daily article on the website pertaining to various topics in education and disabilities.

K12 Academics on Myspace!
To go along with the theme of online networking that so many politicans and businesses have now turned to, K12 Academics has created a Myspace page. If you request friendship you will be updated with Weekly Bulletins of website updates much like this newsletter, Videos of profile listings, Blogs on upcoming directories and projects, and a large network of teachers, administrators, school personnel and PTA chapter members who will add K12 Academics to their friends network

Clinical Studies:
K12 Academics will be posting a ton of Clinical studies from various Health Care Facilities, Government Agencies, Universities, Hospitals, etc. within the next year. Be sure to be on watch for them!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

New National Directories:
There will be numerous Private School Directories coming in the next few months. By next fall K12 Academics should have directories for every school type in the country. Coming soon: Episcopal, Baptist Schools, Christian, Jewish & Charter Schools.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

New Disorder Information Topics:
New topics for disorders and disabilities will be included within the next few weeks. Topics include: Deletion 22q13/ Phelan-McDermid syndrome, Diabetes, Schizophrenia. The section on Phelan-McDermind Syndrome will be written by Katy Phelan of the Molecular Pathology Laboratory Network in Maryville, TB. Katy discovered this rare genetic anomaly in May of 1988.

Other Site News:
K12 Academics is working towards creating a Lesson Plan database. Anybody can post a lesson plan. It will be organized according to grade and topic.

The Lesson plan database will coincide with our detailed education subject topics. Subjects will include: Agricultural, Art, Bilingual, Chemistry, Environmental, Health, History, Language, Mathematics, Music, Performing Arts, Physics, Reading, Religion, Science, Sex Ed.

I have been working on creating a National Job database. I have established working relationships with almost every Principal and Superintendent in the U.S. Majority of schools in the U.S. will be posting job openings this summer in the directory.

Job listings will be free of charge. If you wish to post a resume you must pay. It will be login only to grant access to the job database.

I am also proud to announce K12 Academics is within the top 100,000 web sites. We reached this plateau back in March. Our ranking was 85,015. Currently our U.S. ranking is 1120,059 as of 09/02/07.

In 2008 I will be starting the K12 Academics Foundation. This National Foundation will be donating money to each State Education Department Bureau for Inner City Education.
