New Columnists!
I would like to welcome a new contributors columnist to the K12 Academics Team!

Lara Honos-Webb, Ph.D .: is a licensed clinical psychologist. She is author of The Gift of ADHD: How to Transform Your Child's Problems into Strengths, Listening to Depression: How Understanding Your Pain Can Heal Your Life which was selected as one of the best books of 2006 by Health Magazine and more than twenty-five scholarly articles. Her work has been featured in Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, and Publisher's Weekly as well as newspapers across the country and local and national radio and television. She specializes in the treatment of ADHD and depression and the psychology of pregnancy and motherhood; she speaks regularly on her areas of expertise. Honos-Webb completed a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship at University of California, San Francisco, and has been an assistant professor teaching graduate students. Site Redesign!
By the end of December the entire website of K12 Academics will be redesigned. It will have a much more professional design to it. Each directory will have advanced search engine capabilities and schools will now be organized by county for each state.

For those who register for profiles in our various directories we offer them the abilitiy to have a video in their listing. We are the only place online that allows videos featured in profile listings.

Clinical Studies:
K12 Academics will be posting a ton of Clinical studies from various Health Care Facilities, Government Agencies, Universities, Hospitals, etc. within the next year. Be sure to be on watch for them!

Health Centers:
We are in the process of creating a National Database of Hospitals & Health Centers with Departments dedicated to researching & helping children with disabilities and disorders.

New National Directories:
There will be numerous Private School Directories coming in the next few months. By next fall K12 Academics should have directories for every school type in the country. Coming soon: Charter Schools, Independent, Therapeutic, Alternative, Muslim

New Disorder Information Topics:
New topics for disorders and disabilities will be included within the next few weeks. Topics include: Deletion 22q13/ Phelan-McDermid syndrome, Diabetes, Schizophrenia. The section on Phelan-McDermind Syndrome will be written by Katy Phelan of the Molecular Pathology Laboratory Network in Maryville, TB. Katy discovered this rare genetic anomaly in May of 1988.

Lesson Plans
K12 Academics is working towards creating a Lesson Plan database. Anybody can post a lesson plan. It will be organized according to grade and topic.

The Lesson plan database will coincide with our detailed education subject topics. Subjects will include: Agricultural, Art, Bilingual, Chemistry, Environmental, Health, History, Language, Mathematics, Music, Performing Arts, Physics, Reading, Religion, Science, Sex Ed.

National Job Database
I have been working on creating a National Job database. I have established working relationships with almost every Principal and Superintendent in the U.S. Majority of schools in the U.S. will be posting job openings this summer in the directory.

Job listings will be free of charge. If you wish to post a resume you must pay. It will be login only to grant access to the job database.

Website Ranking
I am also proud to announce K12 Academics is within the top 100,000 web sites. We reached this plateau back in March. Our best ranking being 85,015. Currently our U.S. ranking is 160,901 as of 11/25/07.

In 2008 I will be starting the K12 Academics Foundation. This National Foundation will be donating money to each State Education Department Bureau for Inner City Education.
