K12 Academics Updates for December 11th - December 17th -------------------------------------------------- K12 Academics Yahoo Groups! Each week I will be opening a new Yahoo! Group Disucssion board for each topic on the site. The group features professionals, parents, kids, families, website owners and experts. The purpose of these lists are to share and receive information and support for Deafness. Members on this list are from all across the United States and Worldwide. New Groups: K12 Academics - Asperger's Syndrome Community (167 Members) K12 Academics - Deaf Community K12 Academics - Stuttering Community -------------------------------------------------- Site News: K12 Academics is now a recognized education resource website from the United States Library of Congress. Currently, we are under consideration as a recommendation resource from the Nevada, California and Florida State Deprtament of Education. I have started towards creating a National campaign to help better the content of this website through my relationships with Principals and Supintendants throughout the U.S. My hopes is to gain relationships with every Principal and Superintendant in the U.S. for a variety of reasons, some of them being: A) To help connect students with the right College, College Consultant or Support Personnel B) Connect Schools with Exhibits and Museums for School Trip Destinations C) Connect Schools and Students with High School Study Abroad Programs D) Connect Families & Students with Financial Aid E) Create a National Job directory for schools to post their job openings in the district (Coming Fall of 2007) F) Help to partake in my National, Nonprofit Charity Organization Americans for Action (AFA) which will donate monthly to each State Department of Education for Inner City Education. G) Create a School Profile. I hope to have the most complete School Directory on the Internet come 2008. Featuring Boarding Schools, Special Education Schools, Gifted Youth Schools, Waldorf Schools, Public Schools & Private Schools.
