Additional Information:
Located on the bank of the Green River, the Museum displays the History of the Colorado River system, from its early explorers to the modern river runners, the Geology, Geography, Archeology and Paleontology of the Colorado Plateau.
The Museum showcases John Wesley Powell, the man, his journeys and other accomplishments as a war hero, explorer, geologist, ethnologist and more.
The Information Center advises current explorers of the unique Green River area. The Museum provides ample parking, a large picnic area with covered pavilions, gift shop, archives and conference room, a stop here is a rewarding experience.
