Friends of Five Creeks works to protect and revitalize urban natural areas on the east side of San Francisco Bay, from Berkeley to Richmond, and to educate and involve the public in enjoying and valuing nature.

Program History:

We are a 24-year-old, all-volunteer group.

Events:

We offer a monthly weekend work party for the general public, Tuesday morning "weekday weed warriors," occasional special projects such as mapping and monitoring, opportunities to "adopt a spot" or carry out a project, and work parties for groups including schools, Scouts, religious organizations, and firms on their schedule. We have sites on creeks, along the Bay, and in the hills, many easily reached by public transit.
