Computer Capabilities:
Library offers public access computers. Subscriptions to Novelist, EbscoHost, Family, History and Genealogy.
Education Programs: Story times. Spring poetry contest. fall story contest. Programs for adults meeting space for community groups.
Summer Programs: Summer reading Program, with many featured guest.
Library Information:
Conway Public Library serves residents of conway, Albany, and Eaton, NH. Students at Kennett High School may obtain a student card with their KHS ID card. We welcome other patrons for an annual fee. Information=Recently remodled. Special Collections for local history & genealogy is in the Henney History Room. Donald Graves Collectionis a circulating proessional development collection for educators with over 700 items for elementary level through High School. Large collections of Books on Interlibrary loan services.
Library History:
Established in 1901 in the current building. The tower clock in the Conway was made by Geo. M, Stevens Co. of Boston in the year 1900. In 1973, a children's room was furnished through the generosity of the Arthur O. Lucy family. The Nella Braddy Henney History Room, added in 1976 holds state and town histories for New Hampshire and Oxford County, Maine. A fund raising campaign in 1982 provided for a major renovation of the lower floor. In 2004 the library building went though a badly needed major refurbishing.
Exhibits: monthly art exhibits by local artists.
Events:
Summer Reading Program through August 2006. Annual Book Sale July 29th 9pm - 1pm. Friends of Conway Public Libraaaary annual meeting Sept. 19th.
