Clear Data Solutions Inc is an integrated organization that sells data services to businesses. Depending on the size of a business it could be subdivided into several business areas, still with the common goal of making and selling products or services. These business areas to achieve their own benchmark would use some automation processes or tools that generate a significant amount of data. These tools or processes are very strong in record keeping activities but not well suited for the analysis to evaluate complex corporate and competitive information for presentation to planners and decision makers, with the objective of improving the timeliness and the input to the decision process. To solve this problem a business Intelligence Platform is implemented. Business intelligence, according to Forrester Research, is "a set of methodologies, processes, architecture, and technologies that transform raw data into meaningful and useful information used to enable more effective strategic, tactical, and operational insights and decision-making." Under this definition, business intelligence encompasses information management (data integration, data quality, data ware housing, master-data management, text- and content analytics). So, under these definitions, Forrester refers to data preparation and data usage as to separate bit closely linked segments of the business intelligence architectural stack. To deliver Data Preparation, for the most part clients or potential clients hire contract programmers or programmers employee to perform data integration, data cleansing, data modeling, data mapping with the goal of producing a cleaned and unique version that will be used for business intelligence insights. The programmers are paid a specified rate (hourly, monthly or annually) to do the work. Depending on the size of the projects there could many programmers, data analyst, project managers involve in delivering the project. Contractors/programmer may deliver or not deliver the commitment for a number of reasons. If the commitment is delivered the clients take over and are responsible for the commitment.
