History:
In existence over 10 years, licensed in 2004. Began in a shared theatre dressing room, which is now our at room. We also have a computer room, a fulltime dedicated classroom and access to all rooms and services in community center and its adjacent city park.
Program Highlights:
Pillars of character are the basis of our program. Ourmission is to give our youth the 7 developmental needs of every schololager. We believe in being the parents partner and in quality balanced programming. The kids help choose and plan the curriculum.

Field Trip Destinations: Last summer - science theme related. This summer-communitiy discovery related-neighboring towns, museums, special sites, weekly library visitsspeakers. School year-monthly library visits, area interests like bowling alley, fire tower.
Program Information:
A licensed Out of School Time Program serving children K-5 in the Belle Fourche area during after sschool hours, weekday school days off and fulltime in the summer. After school until 6 pm, school days off and summer M-F 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
After School OAsis -designed to meet the needs of working parents and the specific needs of youth after school. Runs from 3 pm when we meet our kindergarteners in our van until 6 pm. After picking up our gradeschoolers, we retrun to BFACC, have a snack that includes fresh fruit or vegetables and then engage in a daily activity the kids helped plan or one of our specialty programs(listed above). Families receive a monthly calendar.
Fantastic Fridays-Our answer to the school district's alternative Friday schedule, we are open 7 am to 6 pm and with our enrolllees plan some really special days and activities. We provide two snacks and a variety of themed activities and include gym or outside time, art, story time, circle time, choice time and swimming. The last FF of the month is Food Friday, during which Oasis provides lunch at no additional charge. A self-contained bag lunch with all 5 food groups is required on all other full day programs. We provide mornig and afternoon snacks for all full day programming.
Camp Oasis - Our full day summer day camp program can be attended by the half day, full day, week or all summer long. We keep our participants engaged and an active part of the world around them. Each day's schedule includes indoor and outdoor time, group and individual activities, life skills, social skills, creativity, literacy and fun! We include swimming two times a week, library weekly and field trips in our vanand community visitors as appropriate. THe Explorers (age 5-7) and the Adventurers (age 8-12) have activites and schedules specifically geared for their needs. All Camp Oasis participants get the opportunity to be involved in Kookin for Kidz, Library summer reading program, overnight camps and Sport of the Month. Graduated Oasis youth have the opportunity to serve as Jr. Ldrs with the Explorers.
