For 15 years, the wonderful teachers and staff at Mustard Seed Preschool, a ministry of Faith Bible Church of Vallejo, have nurtured, loved and instructed children ages 18 months to Kindergarten.
Now God is moving on our hearts to fulfill the vision given to this church decades ago to work towards an elementary school and then later a middle and high school. Mission Statement:
As a distinctly biblically-driven school, by means of a classical Christian pedagogical approach of an integrated liberal arts science education, we seek to grow and develop a child’s heart, mind and hands —
To adore God’s Word with content rich and timeless curricula
To think critically and reason biblically with a Christ centered worldview focus
To love the church with communal family and faith culture amidst society
To live boldly for Christ as an ethical and civic minded leader of tomorrow inspite of culture
We’re not so much about teaching as we are about forming the soul.
We’re not so much about subjects as we are about imparting virtue formation and moral character.
We’re not so much about making a living as we are about living for a higher purpose.

Veritas Faculty
Kindergarten: Cheyenne Nichols
Cheyenne holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Harvard University, where she developed a passion for fostering critical thinking and creativity. Within her teaching philosophy, Cheyenne believes that every child is unique and deserves a nurturing environment where they can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. Cheyenne is committed to creating an engaging, Christ-centered classroom that empowers children to become lifelong learners
First Grade: Rochette Kim
Rochette graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from San Francisco State University, and thereafter worked in biotech and pharmaceutical companies for several years. After deciding to be a full-time parent, Rochette self-educated on classical education, where for thirteen years, she homeschooled her two children from preschool through eighth grade being well prepared for their higher education. (Rochette's son graduated with Highest Honors and Excellence in Music award; Rochette's daughter graduated with Excellence in Math and Excellence in Art awards and was Valedictorian). Rochette's philosophy in education is simply to engage her young students to love learning and love discovering the world God created around them, and to have a strong foundation from which to build their future education on. Rochette diligently applied this philosophy in her homeschooling journey by using challenging curricula and daily creating a fun environment through music, role play, games and competitions, and outside enrichment activities.
