Diversity: Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is seen every day in our community of nearly 8,500 students, representing every state, 80+ countries and a broad range of diverse backgrounds and experiences. Disability Services:
At Duquesne, we have a diverse student body, with over a thousand students registered with our Office of Disability Services. Our team will help you receive the support you need while you are attaining your educational goals. If you need accommodations due to a documented condition, we are happy to assist you with navigating the registration process.
Activities:
You can join an array of organizations and participate in workshops to help develop leadership and networking skills that come into play after you earn your degree and move into the next phase of your personal and professional life.
You can check in with the Center for Student Involvement, which coordinates all the Student Organizations on campus. The Center works closely with Greek Life, the Center for Excellence in Diversity and Student Inclusion, Spiritan Campus Ministry, and Residence Life to comprise a strong network to create opportunities for you to make friends and get involved.
You will also find numerous student organizations that offer social opportunities to expand relationships with fellow students in a comfortable setting.

Join Duquesne's School of Pharmacy through the Direct Entry option and experience a seamless transition from your first two pre-professional years to the exciting professional phase, spanning years three through six of our comprehensive six-year program, all when you meet our criteria. Our guaranteed seat in the professional phase ensures you won't have to compete for spots with fellow pre-professional students, allowing you to concentrate solely on your personal growth as a future empowered pharmacist.
Our Online Pharm.D. Program (OPP) puts a new career in reach by combining online and limited on-campus instruction in Pittsburgh with educational technology that supports your academic needs and helps you balance school, work, family and other commitments. Evening hours are minimal and summers require hands-on clinical experiences only, no coursework.
Study Abroad:
Every year, School of Pharmacy student pharmacists led by faculty and staff participate in a global health rotation in Italy at the University of Perugia.
Additionally, the School of Pharmacy maintains international partnerships with four pharmacy schools around the world:
Italy
University of Bologna
University of Perugia
Japan
Daiichi University
Kobe Gakuin University
Admissions Requirements:
Preparing for a career in pharmacy during high school means taking a well-rounded series of classes with an emphasis on science, math, and communication. High performance in these courses is important, as grade point average is an important consideration for admission into the program. Although the SAT and/or ACT are not required, including these test scores in your application is strongly encouraged. Qualified high school students are admitted into the pre-professional phase of the Pharm.D. program of study.
