Mission Statement:
The mission of BLRA is to create a safe, positive environment that fosters intellectual curiosity and a thirst for discovery where students and staff succeed through exceptional programs.
Enrollment Characteristics: Lottery Enrollment held each March. Enrollment application window opens in November for coming school year seats. The waitlist is dissolved yearly. Priority for enrollment includes 1) Residents of BLR, 2) Siblings of students enrolled at BLRA, 3) Residents of D49, 4) Residents out of district.
School History:
BLRA opened in 2006. The school has grown in student numbers as well as academic and operational performance. In 2012, BLRA was recognized as Governor's Distinguished Improvement recipient and an "A" rated school by Colorado School Grades. In 2014, the school is again eligible for this distinction. In addition, Banning Lewis Ranch Academy was recognized by Mosaica Education as the top school amongst 109 similar school programs.
