School History:
Memphis Delta Preparatory (MDP) Charter School was founded in 2016 to serve students in South Memphis, specifically within the 38106 zip code. Established with a mission to provide a high-quality education through Trauma Informed practices as a pathway to academic achievement, MDP is dedicated to addressing both academic and social-emotional needs. Since its founding, the school has shown consistent growth in proficiency rates on TN Ready assessments, with steady improvements in English Language Arts (ELA), math, and science. MDP places a strong emphasis on long-term student support, which has resulted in significantly higher performance rates among students who have been enrolled for three or more years. Through continuous progress monitoring and an effective RTI referral system, MDP has also increased the number of students receiving support services for disabilities, creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
