School History:
The beginnings of Harmony District 175 date back to 1828, making it the oldest public school district in St. Clair County and among the oldest in all of Illinois. The original Ellis building, however, was not added to the district until 1962. An addition was added in 1965 and the building has stood unchanged until this year. The building is currently undergoing a $2.3 million addition and renovation.
