School Setting:
At FLVS, we believe in offering students the opportunity learn on their schedule. Our motto, any time, any place, any path, any pace, sums up this belief. Therefore, the school setting can be chosen by the student. Whether they work best at home, at the library, or at the beach, our courses are available as long as the student has access to a computer and the internet.
School Schedule (Hours in Day): Students can access their courses anytime, and teachers are available from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., 7 days a week.
School Days in Calendar Year: Students can access their courses 365 days a year. Teachers are available evey day, with the exception of official school holidays, noted below.
School Holidays: FLVS is officially closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Break, and a Winter holiday between December 25 and January 1. Students can continue working in their courses during these holidays.

Classroom Size: Classrooms are virtual. Students can contact their teacher via IM, email, phone, text, or video chat anytime from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. to ask questions or discuss their course.

Support Services:
FLVS offers a unique virtual setting that allows teachers to interact one-on-one with students. Teachers also hold group disucssions, chats, and office hours. Peer tutoring, guidance counseling/advising, an extensive virtual library, and IT support are also available.

School Clubs:
FLVS offers nine different student clubs, including the National English Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, History Club, International Club, Latin Club, Model UN Club, Newspaper Club, Science Club, and Spanish Honor Society.
