for success in the most highly selective colleges and universities in the nation, and to be leaders in creating a more
philosophical, humane, and just society. Great Hearts’ public academies surpass the best public and private school
options in academic outcomes, student moral formation, and comprehensive extra-curricular participation.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
Great Hearts is passionately committed to cultivating the hearts and minds of students through the pursuit of Truth, Goodness and Beauty.
Enrollment Characteristics: Charter schools are open to ALL children and they are committed to serving a student body that reflects the local community. If a charter school receives more students than it has spots available, it is required by law to hold a lottery to determine which students will have the opportunity to attend. Many charter schools have waitlists and may admit more students from the waitlist as spots become available.
School History:
Great Hearts network of non-profit public charter schools are dedicated to improving education nationwide through classical liberal arts academies. By engaging a well-rounded program in a vibrant school culture, our students are prepared for success in college, leadership in any field in which they choose to endeavor, and a life filled with purpose. With a curriculum built upon a classical liberal arts tradition, Great Hearts cultivates the hearts and minds of students in the pursuit of Truth, Goodness and Beauty.
