School History:
Martha B. King Middle School is located in northwest Manatee County at 600 75th Street Northwest, Bradenton, Florida. The current school was rebuilt on the original location and was completed in July 2006. The two-story, courtyard-secured facility was opened for the 2006-2007 school year. The original King Middle School building opened in 1979, and is named after Martha B. King, a long time Manatee County educator. King Middle serves approximately 1080 students.
Martha B. King Middle School is one of the premier middle schools of Manatee County. We offer courses that stress rigor and relevance and that will enable our students to excel. Listed are a few of the courses that are offered at King Middle School: Art, Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Business, Technology Applications, Health, HOSA, Physical Education, Advanced courses in Math, Language Arts, and Science, and Dual Enrollment Courses in Algebra, Language Arts, and Spanish.
