North Hills Preparatory (orginially called The North Hills School) opened its doors for the 1997-1998 school year. NHP became the flagship school and cornerstone of Uplift Education's network of high performing charter schools across Dallas/Ft Worth. For the 2011-2012 scholastic year, NHP's Primary, Middle and High schools all earned the accountability rating of "exemplary," by the Texas Education Agency. In 2011 the Washington Post ranked North Hills Preparatory as the 24th best high school in the United States and Newsweek has ranked North Hills in the top 20 public high schools every year from 2006-2012.
