Notes/School Information:
Beginning August 2009, the District School Board of Pasco County will be launching an exciting opportunity for students residing in Pasco County by opening the Pasco eSchool. This progressive choice program will provide expanded educational services to a wider student community for anywhere, anytime learning. Virtual schooling meets the demands of today’s digital learners through individualized instruction that moves beyond four walls and a clock.
The eSchool will provide two programs for students – a full-time K-12 virtual school and a part-time 6-12 virtual school. Students must meet the eligibility requirements in accordance with Florida Statute to enroll in the full-time virtual program.
Students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade must be enrolled full-time with one of the chosen virtual providers, Florida Virtual School’s Connections Academy or K12’s Florida Virtual Academy. Students in grades 6-12 can take one or more virtual courses through our franchise with Florida Virtual School (FLVS) on a full-time or part-time basis. This program is open to home education, private, charter, public and students new to Pasco County. Highly qualified Pasco County teachers will teach the virtual courses and there will be no waiting list.
