Rockford Middle School Center for Environmental Studies help prepare sutdnet sof future success through Exploratory classes, real-world experiences, and high school preparation. The school boasts unique outdoor classrooms with a grape vineyard, straw bale garden, multiple raised gardens, school forest and access to the Lake Rebecca Park Reserve, Baker Near Wilderness Settlement, and the Deep Protage Learning Center. The school has been nationally recognized by the US Department of Educaiton as a Green Ribbon School, and also recognized by the Minnesota Rural Education Association with a Profile of Excellence Award, by the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs with a Local Government Innovation Award and by the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals with a Star of Innovation Silver Star Winner.
