Additional Information
Mission Statement:
We are committed to empowering each student to become a responsible, productive learner who is motivated to succeed at his or her highest potential.
Accreditation and Recognition: Meets Standard with Distinction
District Characteristics: Small school with a dynamic group of teachers that spend many hours teaching and help mold the lives of our students. We offer many extra curricular activities and our community is very much school based.
Demographics:
The Electra Independent School District encompasses 201 square miles of Wichita County. The two campuses, Electra Elementary School (Grades Headstart-6) and Electra High School (Grades 7-12), serve the educational needs of approximately 410 students. Both campuses are continually updating their strong curriculum and work towards their students' annual successful performance on the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) exams. Electra ISD is currently a Texas Meets Standards with Distinctions district.
Future Development Plans: We recently passed a $12 million bond to totally remodel our elementary school and build a new junior high and high school. Both facilities will have Secure, one point air lock entries for safety.
