History:
On July 1, 2018, the Friess Lake and Richfield School Districts consolidated. Currently, 29 classrooms accommodate an enrollment of 550 students in grades 4K - 8 and Early Childhood. Just under 300 students are enrolled at Friess Lake Elementary School which serves grades 4K - 4, and approximately 250 students are enrolled in the middle school which serves grades 5 - 8. In addition to classroom teachers, specialist teachers in the areas of physical education, art, music (including band, orchestra, choir, and general music), and Spanish are on staff. Further, two reading specialists, a math specialist, two instructional coaches, two guidance counselors, five special education teachers, two speech teachers, two principals, a business manager, Director of Pupil Services, and district administrator are on staff to support student learning and growth.
The district views the relationship between home and school as a vital one. The Holy Hill Organization of Parents and Staff (HHOPS) is an active organization that supports students and teachers directly and indirectly through donations.
Students perform very well on standardized tests, and ranked “Exceeds” and “Significantly Exceeds Expectations” on the State Report Card.

Consolidation: The district was formed by the consolidation of Friess Lake School and Richfield Joint School District #1 on July 1st, 2018.

Support Services:
We have a strong MTSS system and offer co-teaching so that students are supported. Our district has a Reading Specialist, Math Specialist, Teaching & Learning Specialist, instructional coaches, counselors, a school psychologist, and several interventionists in addition to our teaching staff.
