Description:

The goal of the museum is to teach fire safety and prevention to school children from K - 12 annually with its education program which includes a tour program as well as an in-school-program. In order to serve these students, the museum provides the program at a minimal charge, along with free materials. The museum's education program is the most effective tool to teach fire safety.
Inside the museum, residents of west Tennessee as well as tourists visiting Memphis can view a combination of historic equipment and artifacts, interactive exhibits, educational exhibits. The museum also hosts an archive that is a repository of Memphis fire history and is available to historians and the fire industry.
