Description:
Guided tours of Appalachian history; school tours; three dining halls; five bed & breakfast inns; wedding in our little church; Petting zoo (Saturday's only May 1 st to November 1 st )

Allow for 2 hours thru four buildings for $5 per student (20 person minimum). Advance Registration is required. Bring a lunch for a picnic.
Guided lessons in a 19th Century one room schoolhouse, Progress & Transportation buildings and either walk thru a Coal Mine exhibit or the Hands-on Activity Center. Learn about life as it was "back then" and learn about the major inventions that changed everything to create the quality of life we take for granted today.

Exhibits: TRANSPORTATION & MILL MUSEUM
from covered wagons to early automobiles, Conestoga wagon, stage coach, 1908 electric truck, 1910 Sears Hi wheeler, 1915 and later Model T Ford autos, Model G railroad and miniature steam engine exhibits.
PROGRESS MUSEUM
See the dramatic changes in the home during 1850, 1900 and 1925. Early arcade, soda fountain, miniature amusement park, printing and large 0-Scale, H0 and N model train layouts.
COUNTRY STORE
See the daily activities of a store owner, from being postmaster to a banker. The country store was the economic center of the village.
STEAM TRACTORS
Steam provided much of the motive power behind the agricultural explosion of the nineteenth century.
INDUSTRY MUSEUM
Contains development of agriculture, timber, glass, coal, oil and gas, belt powered machine shop and walk thru an exhibition coal mine.
HERITAGE MUSEUM
Washing machines, churns, woodworking, barbershop, dental and medical offices.
