Description:
18th century living history in a reconstructed civilian refuge fort. Interpreters portray daily life on the frontier of (West) Virginia in the 1770s and demonstrate crafts. Restored and furnished original 1860s homestead also on site.
$6 adults, $5 seniors, $3 children 6 - 12, School Tours: $4 student, $5 chaperone (1 free per 10)
Students $4, Chaperones $5 One free chaperone for every ten students
Students receive an overview of fort history and demonstrations of blacksmithing, weaving, militia, Hearth cooking, gardening, pottery, daily life and more. Special workshops can be arranged with hands on crafts introduction as outreach or on site in conjunction with a field trip
