School History:
Located in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Georgia, Blue Ridge Therapeutic Wilderness is the leading nature-based therapy program to integrate a family systems approach, whole body health and wellness, and holistic, assessment driven, clinical treatment for troubled youth with anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges.
Testimonials:
"A year ago, our family was on the verge of collapse. For comfort, our beautiful daughter resorted to substances and quickly became addicted. We burned through 2 outpatient programs, 2 psychologists, 2 psychiatrists, and a drug counselor without success.
Finally, our daughter found healing and hope at Blue Ridge. Soon, my daughter found her voice and became a mentor to others. She is the first to tell people that Blue Ridge saved her life.
Today, she is so much healthier, physically and mentally. She graduated high school and is awaiting college admissions decisions. She is committed to her recovery and hit her 1-year anniversary. While she will continue to need support to navigate her life in recovery, I can honestly say, none of this would have been possible without the care she received at Blue Ridge. As a family, we are forever grateful."
Notes/School Information:
Since 2002, our program has helped young people and their families to thrive. We strive to provide a superior, integrated wilderness experience to help all individuals and families define their values and overcome their struggles.
Our techniques combine the healing wilderness environment with evidence-based therapeutic approaches that teach individuals and families the skills needed to be aware of and act on their values. Removed from the distractions of daily home life, students experience the abundance of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, where they live in a community setting with other students and our supportive field staff. Here, teens and young adults rediscover their resilience, unearth ways to align with their values, and explore practices that lead to health.
Located in the North Georgia and Western North Carolina mountains, Blue Ridge's licensed treatment program provides sophisticated clinical treatment in an outdoor therapeutic program model. Foundational transformation for families occurs through utilizing individualized clinical treatment, together with intensive family-focused support, and whole-body health and wellness. Each therapist individualizes the wilderness therapy experience while Field Instructors integrate clinical recommendations into daily initiatives to establish positive group culture and opportunities for growth.
We offer specialized clinical treatment to emerging adolescents ages 12-14, adolescents ages 13-18, and young adults ages 18-29. To learn more, reach out to 888-914-1050 or email admissions@blueridgewilderness.com. Your Admissions Director will help you find the right fit for your family.
