The School’s Out program is an after school program designed to meet the child care needs of working parents with school age children. Sachool's Out provides a safe environment within each elementary school for the children to develop strong emotional, physical, social, cognitive, and recreational skills.
While in the School’s Out program, students learn the four core values of the YMCA (caring, honesty, respect and responsibility) by seeing them modeled by the staff and engaging in activities that reinforce these values and the importance of putting them into practice.
Even if there is no school, the Y is committed to providing quality child care you can depend on. When school takes a day off, the Albert Lea Family Y provides Kid’s Day Off. Students can begin enjoying fun, crafts, games, swimming, and much more as early as 7 AM, and they can stay as late as 6PM.
