History:
Blue Cottage Martial Arts Academy first opened its doors in Belleville, Illinois in the year 2006.
Since then, BCMAA has grown to two locations, opening another Academy in the Historic Village of New Baden, Illinois.
BCMAA has trained many quality Martial Artists since, most of which have competed and placed in Taekwondo Tournaments all over the US.
Master Hellerich started his formal Martial Arts lessons in 1985 with Authentic Taekwondo training.
He has continued with Taekwondo ever since.
In 1988, Master Hellerich decided to add other Arts to his already busy training schedule by starting with Okinawan Kempo, Original Kenpo, and Kempo-Jujutsu & Karate. He has attained Master level Black Belts in most of them. He believes "if its good for you, one should finish what one has already started".
