The enrichment classes are one hour and consist of three components:
- First is a S.T.E.M. centric lesson/discussion based the model the students will be building.
- Second is the structured motorized model build were the students, working in teams of two, follow the step by step directions of our copyrighted model plans to complete the model. Critical thinking skills and collaboration are emphasized during the model build.
- The third is the creativity piece. The students are encouraged to modify and or redesign the completed model. We call it creative free build and it is always interesting to see what modifications the children come up with, especially as their grasp of the design and engineering concepts expand.
Our model plans come in three levels of challenge to accommodate the range of age groups. The models are grouped by themes, i.e., laws of motion, forces of nature, life sciences, space, animals etc. We have 32 themes with almost 225 models.
