We come to your facility with our curriculum, computers, and LEGO® building materials. Our programs provide a safe, relaxed learning environment where initiative is invited and self-expression is celebrated. Model building provides opportunities for problem-solving and helps kids develop an appreciation for how things work. All this takes place while kids are having fun and socializing in a non-competitive atmosphere.
History:
Bricks 4 Kidz is a franchise company operating for four years.
Program Highlights:
STEM lesson plans and copyrighted model plans combined with building with LEGO bricks. Most models are motorized. After finishing the model build, the children are encouraged to creatively modify and enhance their models. Advanced classes include introduction to computer programming using WeDo and Mindstorms software.
Activities:
After-school programming, preschool classes, homeschool programming, in-school field trips, camps, and birthday parties.
Field Trip Destinations: In-school field trips.
Program Information:
We provide hands-on classes where students build machines, vehicles, animals and other structures. Students will work in a lab-type setting building with LEGO® bricks, gears, axles, pulleys, motors, battery packs and remote controls. Classes start with a STEM focused lesson plan on the model to be built. Then working in teams of two, the students will build the model, using Bricks 4 Kidz’s® copyrighted model plans. When the model is completed, the students are encouraged to modify/enhance the model, which always raises the energy level and sparks their creativity.
BENEFITS:
·Kids already know how to build with LEGO® bricks, but with a little coaching they can learn about engineering, architecture, physics and math using specialized components.
· When lessons are related to something kids enjoy, like building with LEGO® bricks, kids are more motivated and retain more of what they learn.
· Working with a partner fosters teamwork and cooperation.
