Program Information:
What is Challenge Island?
Challenge Island is a program loosely based on a popular reality game show that encourages students to use creative and critical thinking skills collaboratively in a fun and unique way. With a steady flow of fun, fresh, dynamic challenges set on one of our thematic islands, our one-of-a kind enrichment programming fills children with a spirit of adventure, while inspiring them both creatively and intellectually.
Each Challenge Island class is an action packed experience that has children flexing their cognitive and creative muscles in a whole new way. Our unique "tribal" learning approach gives children the opportunity to tackle our higher level thinking challenges with friends new and old. Building problem solving skills, boosting creativity, heightening higher level thinking abilities, and fostering social skills and friendships in kids.
The educational concepts specific to each challenge will be introduced at the beginning and revisited at the end of each session. This program is closely linked with Ohio's new learning standards and reinforces STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education.
