Our space holds a black box theatre and rehearsal space. We also have access to The Bangor Opera House, home of the Penobscot Theatre Company.
History:
The Dramatic Academy has been serving the youth of the Greater Bangor Area for over a decade. We pride ourselves on providing educational programming that enhances the performance skills of the young theatre lovers that enroll in our classes. We also provide a tech track for those who are interested in the "behind the scenes" aspect of producing live theatre. With an array of after school classes, vacation camps and master class workshops, there is something for everyone!
Program Highlights:
Our Summer Camp programs are performed on the main stage at Penobscot Theatre Company. We also now offer classes with an option to join virtually. New this year, we have begun creating programming that allows us to showcase the students final project available for viewing online at no additional cost.
