Setting:
We are located at the Community Rowing Inc Boathouse on the Charles River in Brighton, MA. We have access to indoor rowing machines, a weight room, a classroom with internet access, and several boats.
Program Highlights:
We are a competitive rowing team for Boston Public School girls. We also have free, one week long learn to row summer camps for residents of Boston ages 12-18.
Support Services:
Along with rowing, We provide academic support, tutoring, and help with the college application process.
Activities:
We row after school 3-4 days a week, and also hold study hall once a week. In the Fall and Spring we travel to races on some weekends. During our Summer programming, we row twice a day in a stable rowing barge, with a break in the middle of the day for a snack and games. By the end of the week, those who are ready try out a racing boat.
