The Kicking District has been proudly serving families in the Downtown Torrance and surrounding SouthBay and Los Angeles areas since it's founding in August 2017. Voted 'Favorite Martial Arts' school in 2018, we are so excited to continue to serve members in our community.
Program Highlights:
The Kicking District is a martial arts and fitness facility located in the City of Torrance, California, specifically Old Town Torrance. This establishment was founded on the traditions of Taekwondo with the incorporation of modern self-defense techniques. Taekwondo skills are taught; however, the emphasis of our programs are focused on character development through martial arts and applying the teachings of Taekwondo (Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit) into daily life.
Students learn timeless skills of self-defense, a deep sense of respect for themselves and others, and learn how to focus 100% of their energy to accomplish whatever it is they want in life!
Many parents are blown away when their children’s grades start improving shortly after they join our program. That’s because martial arts provides children with a powerful, success-driven framework that reaches into every area of their lives.
Activities:
We are a Tae Kwon Do based martial arts program that also teaches practical self-defense though basic jiu-jitsu, wrestling, kickboxing. We offer summer camps, birthday parties and our member favorite family classes. During these family classes, parents are able to participate with their child free of charge! Our goal to is promote health, productivity and fun in a positive and engaging environment.
Program Information:
You may find more information and videos of what we do in our classes on our website, www.thekcikingdistrict.com, on Instagram @tkdistrict or Facebook, The Kicking District.
Slogan: “Empowering leaders of tomorrow by developing the character and revealing the confidence in each of us today.”
